Grinkewicz made this statement at a conference in Wiesbaden, Germany, on Thursday, July 17, according to Reuters. He said preparations for the deployment of Patriot systems are in full swing.
“Preparations are in full swing. We are working closely with the Germans on the redeployment of the Patriots. I’ve been instructed to get them out as soon as possible. So that’s what we’re doing, and we’re also looking at other options and needs,” said the NATO commander.
At the same time, he declined to reveal when exactly Ukraine would receive the weaponry.
“I’m not going to disclose to the russians or anyone else the exact quantity of weapons we’re transferring or when it will happen. But I will say that preparations are ongoing,” the commander stated.
