🏗️ Satellite images show that from mid-2024 to May 2025, at least five buildings covering about 19,000 square meters were constructed or expanded in Kazan. The plant specializes in strategic aircraft Tupolev (Tu-160M, Tu-160M2, Tu-22M3) and helicopters.
🔧 The United Aircraft Corporation announced the modernization of the enterprise: construction of new workshops, purchase of modern equipment, including welding installations and quality control systems.
📉 According to the report, russia plans to gradually increase production of the Tu-214 in the coming years: four aircraft by 2025, seven by 2026, 17 by 2027, and from 2028 — 28 annually.
💸 The plant received about 90 billion rubles in state funding for modernization. However, due to sanctions and staff shortages, the enterprise is lagging behind plans: in 2024, they managed to assemble only four Tu-160 aircraft of various modifications, some of which were likely under construction for years.
