🚶♂️ As of the end of May 2025, 5.6 million Ukrainian citizens remain outside Ukraine, having been forced to leave the country due to the full-scale war.

❌ This number does not include those who ended up in Russia. Of these, 4.2 million have official temporary protection status in EU countries, according to a study by the National Bank of Ukraine.
📊 The new NBU study also notes that the increase in employment levels among Ukrainian displaced persons abroad affects financial flows.
💳 The volume of expenses on Ukrainian bank cards in Europe has significantly decreased: while average monthly spending in 2024 reached $550 million, in the first quarter of 2025 it fell to $485 million — which may indicate the financial independence of migrants.
🇩🇪 According to UN and Eurostat data, the largest number of Ukrainians with temporary protection live in Germany — almost 1.2 million people. Poland hosts 987 thousand, the Czech Republic 371 thousand, and Spain 236 thousand.
🏠 More than 100 thousand Ukrainians have received temporary shelter in Italy, Romania, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Slovakia, with rights to work, medical services, and education.
⚖️ War-induced migration remains a challenge for Europe and Ukraine, but the increasing employment level indicates the adaptation of displaced persons to new life abroad.
