Rutte will arrive in Washington next week. The visit comes amid statements by U.S. President Donald Trump about a possible revision of the country’s NATO membership.
“I can confirm that the Secretary General will visit Washington next week on a long-planned visit,” said Alliance spokesperson Allison Hart.
This information was also confirmed by the White House. Other details of the planned meetings are not yet disclosed.
