Despite certain tactical successes by Russian forces, NATO does not see any risk of a complete collapse of Ukraine’s defense. This was reported by a high-ranking Alliance official, as cited by Liga.net.

According to him, although in September Russia managed to advance approximately 250 km² — less than the 465 km² gained in August — the situation on the front remains under control. A collapse of Ukrainian defensive lines is unlikely, which is likely due to active maneuvering of Russian divisions along the front line.
The average daily losses of the Russian army in September were about 950 personnel — higher than in previous months, but lower than in spring and summer. Overall, Russia’s losses in 2025 remain extremely high — around 1,200 personnel per day, with total losses exceeding 1.1 million, of which more than 250,000 are killed.
The Alliance emphasizes that despite enemy pressure, Ukrainian forces continue to defend effectively, maintaining combat capability and resilience in key directions.
