A historic moment has now arrived for Ukraine’s integration into the EU and NATO, said Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna on X.
“This decision will become a security guarantee not only for Ukraine but for all of Europe. NATO speaks not only about providing guarantees to Ukraine, but also about the fact that our region needs guarantees from Ukraine, as it is currently the largest, most effective, and most experienced military force in the region,” the minister emphasized.
According to him, leaving Ukraine in a “gray zone” would only give Russia the opportunity to continue its aggression in Europe.
“We must consider this comprehensively, because these ‘gray zones,’ neutral countries, or buffer zones are just a green light for Vladimir Putin to continue aggression against Europe. Ukraine is now fighting not only for itself but also giving us time to establish a new structure for European security,” Tsakhkna added.
