“A new wave of fake news. One of the targets is Mykola Kniazhytskyi — our colleague, an active participant in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity, just like Andriy Parubiy, a co-author of the Law on the Ukrainian Language. “Those who should be fighting disinformation are the ones creating it. They produce information garbage against the opposition and help the Kremlin attack Ukrainian democracy,” Poroshenko stated.
“Recently, many members of our team have come under attack. In fact, those who have spent years defending Ukrainian identity, democracy, and the army. Activists, volunteers, soldiers, and anti-corruption advocates are being attacked as well. They are doing exactly what the European Commission demands to stop,” Poroshenko warned.
“Thugs are being used against dissenters — both physical and informational ones. Because pseudo-experts and ‘hymn writers’ with criminal pasts are the same kind of thugs. They serve today’s versions of Zakharchenko and Klyuyev. I don’t need to remind anyone how and where they all ended up,” the party leader concluded.
