📢 У Києві проти ліквідації антикорупційних органів вийшли понад 16 тисяч людей

👥 The total number of participants in the peaceful protests held in Kyiv on July 22–23 against draft law No. 12414, which effectively dismantles the independence of NABU and SAPO, reached around 16,000 people. This was reported by Ivanna Malchevska, coordinator of “OZON” at the Center for Civil Liberties.

📆 July 22 — approximately 5,814 people took part (±500), while only 11 police officers were present, 7 of whom were from the dialogue police unit.

✊ According to Malchevska, this ratio reflects a de-escalation-oriented approach by law enforcement: no pressure or provocations, only communication with protesters.

📆 July 23 — the protest drew 9,528 people (±1000), making it the largest demonstration against draft law No. 12414. Only 17 police officers were present, 10 from the dialogue police.

🔎 The exceptionally low police presence despite the scale of the protests highlights the calm and peaceful nature of the gatherings, as well as citizens’ willingness to engage in dialogue rather than confrontation.
