In Ukraine, starting from May 1, 2026, the monetary support of military personnel will remain unchanged. All current additional payments and bonuses are preserved.

This is предусмотрено by the law “On Social and Legal Protection of Military Personnel and Their Family Members” and Cabinet Resolution No. 168.
What additional payments are предусмотрені
The amount of additional monthly payments is:
— 30,000 UAH — for performing combat (special) tasks
— 50,000 UAH — for military personnel in headquarters, management bodies, and command
— 100,000 UAH — in active combat zones, during treatment or rehabilitation after injury, or in captivity
— 70,000 UAH — additional payment for being on the front line for a month
What monetary support consists of
A soldier’s salary is formed from several main components:
— base salary depending on the position held;
— salary based on military rank (private, sergeant, officer, etc.);
— seniority allowance — from 5% (for 1 year of service) up to 50% (for 25 years or more).
The amount of payments does not depend on whether the servicemember is under contract or mobilized — the key factors are position, rank, and length of service.
How payments are made
The first monetary payment is received as early as one month after mobilization or signing a contract. The payment is made in full at once — without division into advance and main parts.
Additional types of assistance
Military personnel are also entitled to a number of additional payments:
— health improvement assistance — once a year in the amount of one month’s salary;
— assistance for solving social and бытових issues (in particular in case of injury or illness);
— payment after signing the first contract — from 24,224 to 30,280 UAH, or up to 1 million UAH under the “Contract 18–24” program;
— assistance when transferring to another garrison.
