On the eve of the New Year, Petro Poroshenko met with representatives of one and a half dozen brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Under the Christmas tree,” the military received a large batch of drones of various modifications, electronic warfare equipment, communications and command-and-control systems, generators, charging stations, and equipment for штаб work.
There was also a Christmas nativity play — a young ensemble that had visited many parts of the country over the past week stopped by to congratulate the Ukrainian defenders.

“And of course, we also delivered a large batch of equipment and gear for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — airborne troops, assault units, marines, airmobile and mechanized brigades, Territorial Defense Forces, aviation, and military training units,” Petro Poroshenko wrote on social media.

“This is the largest transfer of ‘Blyskavka’ strike drones to date. These are precisely the drones that are already showing results and therefore generate the greatest interest among units,” the fifth President stated. At the beginning of December, it became known about a new program of the Poroshenko Foundation to supply the military with Ukrainian-made ‘Blyskavka’ kamikaze drones. At the same time, Poroshenko delivered the first batch of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“These excellent systems help operate at very long rear distances with maximum impact. They save us equipment and resources. We asked for help because they are critically lacking on the front line. They are very effective, and we would like to have more of them to stop breakthroughs or advances of enemy equipment, to minimize and destroy the enemy and their manpower. They fly far and carry a fairly large payload. This munition can deliver a 7 kg warhead to a distance of up to 60 kilometers, creating a large damage zone and capable of destroying many enemies. For relatively little money, we achieve maximum results. It is even cheaper than a 155mm artillery shell,” explained a representative of one of the brigades.

“Separately, we delivered a container of nets to protect against FPV drones. A simple but necessary solution to protect people and equipment,” noted the fifth President. The units were also supplied with FPV drones of various types, including fiber-optic ones.

“We are from the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, the ‘Barni’ unit. Today we are receiving ‘Blyskavka’ drones, fiber-optic drones, and radio-controlled drones. The drones are very effective, with good optics. I like them the most — they break the least. We work against enemy personnel,” said a representative of the ‘Edelweiss’ unit.

“2025 was a difficult year for the front, for all servicemembers, for our country. And an even greater blow was the enemy’s attacks on our energy sector. What do we expect from 2026? The destruction of the enemy and our victory,” says a representative of the 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade. “There is a severe shortage of equipment at the front. The guys are working, we are striving as much as possible for victory, and in 2026 we want maximum provision. The more resources we have, the more powerfully we will destroy the enemy,” the soldiers say.
“Holidays do not change reality. Therefore, on the eve of the New Year, we are doing the same thing as yesterday — working,” Petro Poroshenko concludes.
