⚔️ Due to the unpopularity of mobilization, the government is focusing on volunteers by offering them substantial bonuses for signing contracts. In russia, similar payments allow the recruitment of tens of thousands of soldiers each month without general mobilization.
📉 Raising payments independently threatens the state budget — its deficit in 2024 has already exceeded 20% of GDP. Although Ukraine relies on external assistance, donors have so far been reluctant to directly finance military salaries.
💬 Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that the government does not plan to raise taxes. Of the $75 billion needed by the end of 2026, only half has been secured so far.
🚀 According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs $25 billion annually for drones, missiles, and electronic warfare systems. This could push the budget deficit to $65 billion in 2025.
🤝 Discussions are already underway with Ursula von der Leyen, Mark Rutte, Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and representatives of the United States.
🛩️ An additional $6 billion is urgently needed to increase the production of interceptor drones.
