Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kyiv and the United States have different views on Russia’s intentions to end the war.

“We do not see a sincere desire from Russia to end the war and share this with our partners. The USA believes that Putin wants to end it. Here, we have completely different assessments,” Zelensky noted.
He added that Ukraine is asking American partners to increase pressure on Russia. “We know that Putin does not want to end the war, and we are requesting additional pressure to make him willing. America believes he is ready for peace, so extra pressure is not needed. There are different views on certain issues, and we need to work on that,” the president emphasized.
