📈 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed the initiative to conclude a free trade agreement with the United States, despite the fact that the USA is not currently Ukraine’s largest trading partner. Deputy Minister of Economy and Ukraine’s trade representative Taras Kachka explained that Ukraine is interested in cooperation with all G7 countries.

🤝 Kachka emphasized that Ukraine already has free trade agreements with the United Kingdom, Canada, and the EU, and now aims to expand cooperation with the USA and Japan. According to him, the creation of the American-Ukrainian Investment Recovery Fund opens new opportunities for further agreements.
⚙️ Kachka noted that the negotiations are currently at an early stage, and Zelensky has already made this proposal to US President Donald Trump, which will be the next step in the dialogue.
⛏️ Earlier, Ukraine and the USA signed two agreements within the framework of the “subsoil agreement,” which regulate the operation of the joint investment fund and its capital replenishment. Ukraine’s Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko reported that the USA will invest money and weapons, while Ukraine will transfer half of the income from new subsoil licenses, with all income for the first 10 years being reinvested into the development of Ukraine’s economy.
