Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that the peace plan for Ukraine proposed by the United States does not actually put pressure on Russia, but instead limits Kyiv’s options. He announced this on his page on the social network X.

Tsahkna emphasized that Europe must have a decisive voice in matters of its own security. “Nothing about Europe without Europe. We will make the aggressor pay and ensure that the pressure continues to increase,” he stressed.
The minister noted that Russia has not changed its goals, and the proposed U.S.–Russia peace plan does not exert pressure on Moscow. He stressed that peace is just only when it is based on international law, including the principles of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
