President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen mentioned Ukraine in her Christmas message and expressed support for Ukrainians.

In her address, she thanked everyone who spends Christmas caring for others — in hospitals, shelters, and homes for those in need.
Von der Leyen specifically emphasized that the European Union is thinking especially of its friends in Ukraine.
“We hope that the coming year will finally bring a just and lasting peace, and later — a safe and prosperous future within our Union,” the President of the European Commission said.
