This was reported by Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak during an online meeting with diplomats, according to the ministry’s press service.
He emphasized that since the start of the full-scale war, the destruction of energy infrastructure has only increased, and shelling of oil and gas facilities creates additional risks for the country’s energy security.
“The rhetoric from Russia gives no grounds to hope for an end to the attacks. Therefore, it is important to intensify the efforts of Ukrainian diplomats. We have identified key areas that require priority support,” Andarak said.
Among the priority tasks:
- strengthening and protecting energy facilities;
- repairing and restoring damaged equipment;
- creating strategic reserves;
- purchasing necessary equipment.
