🔌 The maximum electricity export capacity from Ukraine and Moldova to European Union countries has increased from 650 MW to 900 MW. This was reported by Ukrenergo’s press service, noting that the decision was the result of coordination between transmission system operators in Eastern Europe and the TSCnet coordination center.

💰 Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko emphasized that this is an important step in balancing Ukraine’s power system. Additional export revenue will help cover the costs of restoring infrastructure after russian attacks and preparing for the heating season.
🌞 Ukrenergo head Vitalii Zaichenko explained that the increase in exports is especially relevant in summer, when solar power plants generate an energy surplus. To avoid emergencies and generation restrictions, exports help maintain the balance between production and consumption.
📅 The current limit will remain in effect until August 1, after which export levels will be reviewed monthly. In addition, Ukrenergo conducts weekly network assessments, so figures may change depending on operational security conditions.
