Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, together with French Minister of the Armed Forces Catherine Vautrin, signed a Letter of Intent on joint weapons production on the territory of Ukraine and France. Fedorov reported this.

According to him, the document opens the way for large-scale joint projects within the defense-industrial complexes of both countries and strengthens the strategic partnership between Kyiv and Paris.
The French Minister of the Armed Forces confirmed preparations for the transfer of Mirage 2000 aircraft to Ukraine. The sides also discussed accelerating their delivery and continuing work on record volumes of AASM Hammer guided aerial bombs.
Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine is interested in further deliveries of SAMP/T, Mistral, and Crotale air defense systems, as well as ammunition for them. Separately, the ministers agreed to work jointly on improving the SAMP/T system to more effectively counter ballistic threats.
In addition, cooperation continues on the supply and acceleration of production of Aster missiles. The provision of long-range strike capabilities, including SCALP missiles, was also discussed.
The sides agreed on key priorities of defense cooperation and mechanisms for financing joint projects, including through European Union credit programs and the SAFE initiative. Particular emphasis was placed on testing new security solutions and developing innovative electronic warfare systems with the participation of governments and defense companies of both countries.
