Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, during which the parties discussed strengthening air defense, developing drone production, and creating joint defense enterprises.

According to Shmyhal, Estonia announced an initiative to allocate €3 million for the purchase and support of Starlink satellite communication systems for Ukraine’s needs. This decision aims to enhance the resilience of Ukraine’s military infrastructure.
“We highly appreciate Estonia’s participation in the Purl project. Ukraine is ready to join the implementation of initiatives within the SAFE program, which will promote the development of the defense-industrial complex of both countries. We also discussed the training of Ukrainian servicemen within the framework of Operation Legio,” Shmyhal said.
The meeting marked another step in expanding the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Estonia, aimed at strengthening defense capabilities, technological exchange, and supporting regional stability.
