U.S. President Donald Trump will hold a series of meetings in Washington with the leaders of Central Asian countries — Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Reuters reported this, citing diplomatic sources.

According to the agency, the summit is scheduled for Thursday, November 6. Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev (Kazakhstan), Shavkat Mirziyoyev (Uzbekistan), Sadyr Japarov (Kyrgyzstan), Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan), and Serdar Berdimuhamedov (Turkmenistan) are expected to arrive at the White House.
U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, currently visiting Uzbekistan, confirmed that Mirziyoyev’s meeting with Trump will take place next week in Washington.
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also announced that he would participate in the summit and thanked Donald Trump for the invitation, emphasizing the importance of developing cooperation between the United States and the Central Asian states.
During the meetings, the sides are expected to discuss regional security, energy, trade, and cooperation within the “C5+1” format, which envisions partnership between the United States and the five Central Asian countries.
