🧾 Trump made this statement following criticism from BRICS regarding his tariff policy and the alliance’s proposals to reform the International Monetary Fund and the global currency evaluation system.
🌍 In his statements, the U.S. President emphasized that he has long opposed the expansion of BRICS influence, as the alliance is trying to strengthen its positions on the international stage and counter the U.S. and Western European countries.
🌐 Last year, in addition to Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, new members joined BRICS: Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
📍 The BRICS summit is currently underway in Rio de Janeiro on July 6–7.
