Recently, the countries agreed on a two-week ceasefire, after Trump had previously warned that “an entire civilization would perish.” In a statement on April 9, he called Iran a “significantly weakened enemy” and emphasized that U.S. military forces are ready for “lethal pursuits and destruction” until the agreement is fulfilled.
Trump stressed that if the negotiations fail, large-scale fighting will begin; however, “NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS” will be used, and the Strait of Hormuz will remain open and safe. He added that the U.S. military is ready for action and expects the “next conquest.”
White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt announced that peaceful talks between Iran and the U.S. will take place this weekend in Islamabad, with James D. Vance representing the United States.
