On September 12, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the suspect in the murder of American blogger and activist Charlie Kirk has “with high probability” already been taken into custody. He announced this during a Fox News broadcast.

“With high probability, the suspect is in custody. Everyone did a good job. We worked with the local police, the government,” Trump noted.
According to him, the arrest was facilitated by someone from the suspect’s close circle who provided information to law enforcement.
