American President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that the CIA allegedly informed him about the homosexuality of Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Host Jesse Watters asked whether the younger Ayatollah is really gay, to which Trump responded:

“Well, they said it, but I don’t know if it’s only them. I think a lot of people talk about it. It puts him in a difficult position in this particular country.”
At the same time, Trump did not specify what evidence the CIA has to confirm this information.
It is worth noting that homosexuality is illegal in Iran — same-sex relationships are punishable under the country’s laws based on Sharia.
