U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the American military possesses a unique type of weapon, the existence of which almost no one knows about. He made this comment in an interview with NewsNation, responding to a question about the possible use of so-called sonic weapons.

According to Trump, this weapon was allegedly already used during operations in Venezuela. At the same time, the president emphasized that he does not want to reveal details:
“We have a weapon that no one knows about. Probably better not to talk about it,” he said.
Rumors about the use of sonic or energy weapons appeared after a statement by White House Press Secretary Carolina Levitt. She mentioned a device that, according to her, was used during a raid in Venezuela and caused nosebleeds and vomiting of blood among local soldiers.
The mysterious U.S. weapon was also reported by the NY Post. The publication refers to the testimony of a guard of dictator Nicolás Maduro, who said that U.S. forces were able to neutralize resistance without losses using unknown technologies. According to him, radar systems first failed without explanation, after which numerous drones appeared over the positions.
The weapon in question is a directed-energy weapon that can strike targets with focused energy—such as microwaves or laser beams. A former U.S. intelligence officer noted that such technologies have been in military service for many years.
Earlier, similar systems, according to media reports, were used by China in 2020 during a border conflict with India in the Ladakh region.
