In his post on Truth Social, he said: “I will permanently suspend migration from all Third World countries so that the U.S. system can fully recover.”
According to Axios, the intensification of Trump’s rhetoric is linked to an attack by Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal on National Guard troops, which resulted in the death of one guard member and serious injury to another. Following this, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services paused the processing of all applications from Afghan citizens.
Trump also ordered a review of green card applications from 19 countries deemed high-risk by his administration and promised to revoke “millions” of entry permits issued during Joe Biden’s presidency. He added that he plans to end benefits and payments for non-citizens and deport foreigners considered a security threat or “incompatible with Western civilization.”
