Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported that a possible summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could take place within two weeks. If necessary, the organization of the meeting will be handled by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to the Russian publication “RIA-Novosti.”

Separately, Peskov said that Putin held a phone conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who offered to help organize the summit in Budapest.
According to the Kremlin, during the conversation, Putin shared with Orbán the results of contacts with Trump and expressed readiness to continue dialogue on possible ways to peacefully resolve the war in Ukraine.
