Occupiers from the Russian army are using violence against new recruits in the Sumy direction and taking their money. The reason is that new contract soldiers receive one-time payments and higher salaries. This was reported by the military movement of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars “Atesh.”

Agents of the movement reported conflicts within units of the 80th motorized rifle brigade of the “North” group of forces. “Two types of fighters serve side by side: those who have been fighting for a long time and have combat experience, and those who have just signed a contract. The tasks and positions are the same, but the pay is completely different,” “Atesh” noted.
New contract soldiers receive one-time payments ranging from 1 to 3.5 million rubles depending on the region, while experienced soldiers do not receive such payments. Monthly salaries also differ: older fighters receive about 180,000 rubles, while recruits receive 240,000.
To “resolve” the situation, experienced soldiers have started beating newcomers and taking their money. Fights take place directly at their locations, in plain view, and commanders do not intervene. When recruits file complaints, they are threatened with basements and punitive assault missions.
“The logic is simple: you didn’t earn this. You’re not worthy yet,” “Atesh” explains.
