✈️ Blumenthal compared Ukraine’s actions to legendary US and Israeli special operations, including the raid on Osama bin Laden. He noted that a strike thousands of miles from Ukraine, on airbases deep inside rf, is one of the most impressive military achievements in recent years.
💥 The senator emphasized that “The Web” destroys the narrative of Ukraine’s alleged defeat and demonstrates the ability to operate far beyond the frontline. This could change US policy toward increasing aid to Kyiv.
🤝 Although the US presidential administration has not yet decided on a new sanctions package against rf, Blumenthal hopes that changes on the battlefield will convince even the most skeptical politicians, including allies of Donald Trump.
⚖️ “These events will influence the White House and perhaps even some of the president’s friends,” the senator hinted, referring to Republican Lindsey Graham. He also added that Congress could approve sanctions regardless of Trump’s position.
