The creation of an investment fund between Ukraine and the USA. The vote prior to the decision was not successful due to the position of the “Servant of the People” faction.

🗣 This was reported by the co-chair of the “European Solidarity” faction, Iryna Herashchenko.
📊 “Yesterday, we, ‘Holos,’ and ‘Batkivshchyna’ were the only ones to vote for this absolutely logical and correct preamble. ‘SN’ failed the vote. Today, due to the complete lack of subjectivity of ‘SN,’ the committee had to return to re-voting,” she said.
🔑 Herashchenko emphasized that during today’s vote, the preamble was supported by all committee members.
📜 Thus, the following preamble was added to the agreement on the creation of the investment fund between Ukraine and the USA:
“The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine notes that, as of the time of the ratification of the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the United States of America on the creation of the American-Ukrainian Investment Fund for Reconstruction, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has not received the text of the agreement on limited partnership or any other agreements, the conclusion of which is conditioned by this agreement.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine states that the ratification of the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the United States of America on the creation of the American-Ukrainian Investment Fund for Reconstruction does not mean ratification or automatic approval by Parliament of the agreement on limited partnership or any other agreements that may be concluded by authorized parties to fulfill this agreement.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declares that any additional arrangements necessary for the implementation of the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the United States of America on the creation of the American-Ukrainian Investment Fund for Reconstruction may not exceed the provisions of this agreement and establish international legal obligations for Ukraine that are not envisaged by it and not agreed upon in the established manner.”
🗳 Herashchenko also noted that despite the support for the preamble by the “EU” faction, they did not participate in the vote on the ratification itself.
🤝 “The faction will make a political decision regarding the vote after meeting with the government team,” the politician concluded.
📅 Meanwhile, 11 committee members decided to recommend that the Verkhovna Rada ratify the investment fund agreement in principle and as a whole.
💬 Herashchenko added that she raised the issue of a meeting between the “EU” faction and Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, but the deputy leader of the “SN” faction, Andriy Motovylovets, noted that the “EU” should discuss the meeting with “SN.”
