One of Donald Trump’s advisers does not rule out the possibility that American troops could be stationed in Ukraine as part of potential security guarantees after the cessation of hostilities, Axios reports.

Earlier, Senators Rubio and Witkoff noted that, for the first time, Putin agreed to the possibility of providing security guarantees to Ukraine from the US and European partners.
When asked whether these guarantees could include the deployment of American troops in Ukraine, Trump’s adviser privately responded affirmatively. Another adviser noted that at this time it is unknown and the details will not be publicly discussed.
Previously, Moscow categorically rejected the possibility of NATO troops being present on Ukrainian territory.
