According to him, the man did not receive any refusals at the border and had not previously submitted documents for departure. On the contrary, border guards assisted him in preparing the necessary papers.
🔹 The victim’s father left Ukraine on humanitarian grounds and has already arrived in the U.S. to say farewell to his daughter.
🔹 The Embassy of Ukraine in the U.S. confirmed that it is providing the family with all necessary assistance.
🔹 Earlier, the Daily Mail reported that the man was allegedly denied departure due to restrictions for those subject to military service; however, this information is not true.
Demchenko urged the media not to manipulate the tragedy and to share only verified information in order to avoid causing additional pain to the victim’s family.
