Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans stated that Russia’s aggression threatens not only Ukraine but the entire European continent, Gazeta.ua reports, citing Ukrinform.

According to him, the Kremlin aims not only to restore its sphere of influence but also to weaken and divide Europe by using hybrid pressure methods. “We face this every day,” Brekelmans noted.
At the same time, the defense minister emphasized that Europe should thank Ukraine, which, despite suffering, continues to fight Russian aggression and defends the freedom of the entire continent.
“Ukraine should not thank us; we must thank Ukraine for paying the highest price in defending its country and the freedom of the rest of Europe,” Brekelmans stressed.
