The spokesman for the Russian dictator, Dmitry Peskov, commented on reports that Moscow and Washington are allegedly working on a 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine. His statement was cited by the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti.
According to the media, this concerns a possible document that the parties are expected to agree upon by the end of the month. Some reports even suggested that the plan might include Russia retaining control over Donbas in exchange for some form of “lease payment.”
Peskov, however, stated that the Kremlin has no new information regarding this:
“There is nothing new to add to what was said in Anchorage. We have no innovations in this regard,” he said.
In Washington, according to sources, President Donald Trump’s administration is closely monitoring any negotiations related to the war, but there is still no official confirmation of such a plan.
