🔍 The European Commission has already presented a number of targeted amendments, primarily concerning financial software, and partially — restrictions for belarus.
👥 Additionally, one diplomat stated that by the end of the week, Coreper (Committee of Permanent Representatives of EU member states) will consider further amendments.
🪙 Another diplomat added that the sanctions also include measures against russia’s attempts to circumvent restrictions, pressure on the activities of russian companies in the cryptocurrency sector, and limits on the movement of russian diplomats within the EU.
⏳ Coreper will resume discussions on the package later this week. Despite nearing a compromise, the technical aspects remain complex, so a final decision is likely to be delayed.
