Thailand and Cambodia have reached an agreement to ease tensions along their shared border. Following negotiations in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, the two sides signed a 13-point peace agreement.

The document outlines a commitment to uphold the ceasefire, undertake joint efforts to de-escalate the situation, and restore stability in the border region.
“Both parties agreed on a 13-point ceasefire deal, and representatives from both countries signed coordinated protocols aimed at resolving border conflicts and restoring peace along the border,” the official statement said.
The decision is the result of intergovernmental talks aimed at preventing further incidents and maintaining peace in the region.
