📢 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Maryana Betsa, stated in Strasbourg that russian occupiers have illegally deported at least 20,000 Ukrainian children, of whom only 1,400 have been returned.

📍 At the same time, 1.6 million children still live in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to Betsa, the abduction of children continues every minute while the war persists.
⚠️ She emphasized that since 2014, russia has systematically deported, kidnapped, and killed Ukrainian children, and since 2022, this policy has become especially massive and cynical.
📄 During technical negotiations in Istanbul, the Ukrainian side handed russia a list of 339 children who need to be returned. However, the kremlin manipulates this document, presenting it as a complete list while denying the scale of the crime.
🗣️ “This is only the first step to return at least 10, 20, 100 children and see whether russia is seriously committed to ending its aggression. But nothing has been done,” the diplomat noted.
🌍 Betsa called on the international community to increase pressure on moscow, stressing that the return of children cannot be the subject of any peace negotiations.
