“He is using Ukraine as a weapon in his election campaign. This is not good. We had an agreement, and I believe he has betrayed us. We need to find a way forward. Now I urge Ukraine and the Commission to find a solution regarding the pipeline issue. But the most important thing is to ensure funding and resources for Ukraine,” Orpo said.
The Finnish Prime Minister added that he expects proposals from the European Commission to support Kyiv and emphasized the need to continue applying pressure on Russia.
“We need to understand who benefits the most from chaos and rising energy prices. It is Russia. That is why we must continue to pressure Russia and provide strong support to Ukraine. They fight for us every day,” Orpo stressed.
