Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that the trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the USA, and Russia are currently not progressing, and the easing of sanctions on Russian oil is worsening the situation.

According to him, three rounds of negotiations were held in winter, but now there is no information about further progress. The halt in dialogue may be due to the war in Iran or the fact that the negotiations have reached a deadlock.
Stubb is convinced that the USA has done everything possible to advance the dialogue, and the main problem lies in Russia’s unwillingness to seek peace. Therefore, in his view, the key is to increase pressure on Moscow; however, the current situation, given external factors, is developing unfavorably for this process.
