Russia is not interested in a ceasefire or a peace agreement with Ukraine. This was stated by Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview with France Inter after the “Coalition of the Resolute” meeting in Paris, reports European Pravda.

Stubb emphasized that the conflict resolution process is possible in two stages: first, a ceasefire, and then the conclusion of a peace agreement. However, according to him, Putin rejects this option, as he seeks full occupation of Ukraine and the elimination of its sovereignty.
The Finnish leader stressed that Moscow only understands the language of force. Therefore, the international community must continue to increase pressure on Russia with sanctions. He also confirmed Finland’s readiness to join security guarantees for Ukraine, although without specifying the details.
