The leader of the “European Solidarity” faction, Petro Poroshenko, urged members of parliament not to ignore the demands of Ukraine’s European partners, as outlined in the European Parliament resolution of September 9, 2025, the party’s press service reported.

Poroshenko emphasized that this week is critically important for the work of parliament: the government is submitting the budget and the Action Program, and deputies must analyze the European Parliament resolution, which is based on the 2023–2024 report.
According to the fifth president, the European Parliament document focuses on two key areas: security and freedom, as well as democracy. Poroshenko noted that the budget and the Rada’s current agenda do not include the issues Europe demands.
The first priority of the resolution is funding the Armed Forces, which entails ending cashback schemes and telemarathons. The second is freedom and democracy, including:
- parliamentary pluralism and diplomacy;
- lifting the ban on deputies’ international activities;
- preventing politically motivated persecution of the opposition;
- restructuring the State Bureau of Investigation and the Financial Monitoring Service to enhance independence and effectiveness.
The European Parliament resolution also calls on Ukraine to refrain from politically motivated judicial proceedings, promote dialogue between factions in the Verkhovna Rada, lift restrictions on deputies’ foreign travel, and restore full national broadcasting.я для медіа, рішуче відкидаючи політичну цензуру.
