Most US citizens do not support the idea of “territorial exchanges” after the war, which President Donald Trump had previously proposed as part of a possible peace agreement, The Hill reports.

According to a The Economist/YouGov poll, 68% of Americans responded that Ukraine should not hand over any territory to Russia. Only 5% were ready to agree to “part” of the territories, 2% to “half,” and 1% to “most.” Another 21% of respondents were unsure.
At the same time, 27% of US residents consider Ukraine an ally, 38% a friendly country, 12% unfriendly, and 4% hostile.
In the war, 66% of Americans support Ukraine, while only 3% support Russia.
