Russian foreign intelligence claimed that the United Kingdom and France are allegedly preparing to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons or a “dirty” bomb, reports the propaganda agency RIA-Novosti.

According to the Russians, the West is supposedly trying to create the impression that the appearance of nuclear weapons in Kyiv is the result of Ukraine’s independent developments. The report mentions the French TN75 small-size warhead from the M51.1 submarine-launched ballistic missile as one of the possible options.

The spokesperson for the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, responded to the statements, saying that Moscow will “take into account the information” about the alleged plans of London and Paris. He emphasized that arming Ukraine with nuclear weapons would be a blatant violation of international law and pose a serious threat to the nuclear non-proliferation regime.
