In addition, a lawsuit was filed on behalf of seven Ukrainian cash couriers concerning suspected unlawful detention and abuse of power, demanding the annulment of the decision on their deportation.
Lawyer Lorant Horvat noted that there was no clear legal basis between the vehicle seizure and the government’s decision to arrest, for ordering control over this property. The complaint also emphasizes the need to clarify the decision-making mechanism between the operation and the actual confiscation of the property.
Additionally, statements from Hungary’s Minister of Construction and Transport, János Lázár, were cited, noting that the actions were likely related to the shutdown of the “Druzhba” oil pipeline.
The legal representative stresses that this may indicate a deliberate decision by the Hungarian state or its authorities to withhold funds as a means of exerting influence on Ukraine.
