In an interview with the Italian publication Corriere della Sera, the head of state noted that Orban’s political weight largely depends on the support of other influential forces. According to Zelenskyy, Hungary is an important country, but it does not have significant military influence.
The president emphasized that he does not consider the Hungarian people to be pro-Russian. He expressed confidence that in the event of a change in political leadership, it would be possible to restore regular and constructive relations between the states.
Separately, Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine opposes the purchase of energy resources from Russia, as additional revenues Moscow may direct toward financing the war against Ukraine.
