Ukraine has still not received any of the six F-16 fighter jets that Norway promised to deliver back in 2023. All aircraft remain in Belgium, where they are undergoing repairs and preparation before possible delivery, NRK reports, citing anonymous sources.

Two of the jets were previously used for training Ukrainian pilots in Denmark and have been in the Sabena Engineering workshop for over a year. The other four jets were malfunctioning when they left Norway and were transported to Belgium in parts. Their preparation could take about a year due to the absence of around a hundred parts in each aircraft.
Norway’s Defense Minister confirmed that the jets remain in the Belgian workshop, and work priorities are being determined jointly with Ukraine and other donor countries.
