🤝 New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Foreign Minister Winston Peters announced a new support package for Ukraine worth 16 million New Zealand dollars (over $9.4 million USD).

🇺🇦 “New Zealand stands in solidarity with Ukraine. Its defensive war has been ongoing for four years now, and our condemnation of russia’s illegal full-scale invasion remains unchanged,” Luxon said.
💥 Of the total amount, 4 million NZD (approximately $2.3 million USD) will go to contributions to two multinational funds: the NATO Security Assistance and Training Mission fund (NSATU) and the “Drone Coalition,” coordinated by the UK and Latvia.
🌐 “Ukraine’s defense matters not only for the Euro-Atlantic but also for the Indo-Pacific region. It is important to uphold an international order based on rules,” Peters emphasized.
🆘 Another 7 million NZD ($4.1 million USD) will be allocated for humanitarian aid to Ukrainian communities affected by the war, and 1 million NZD ($593,000 USD) will support Ukrainians forced to flee to neighboring countries.
🚢 The new package was announced following sanctions against russia’s “shadow fleet” and individuals assisting moscow in waging war.
🕊️ “We need to increase pressure on russia to end the war and participate in achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” Peters concluded.
