Netanyahu informed Trump that all key figures of the Iranian leadership would gather in one location, creating an opportunity for a single airstrike. After the CIA verified the information and confirmed the data from Israeli intelligence, Trump concluded that diplomacy had been exhausted.
On Friday at 3:38 PM Eastern Time, the U.S. President gave the order for the strike. Eleven hours later, airstrikes were carried out on Tehran, and Khamenei was killed, effectively triggering the war in the Middle East.
