NABU Director Semen Kryvonos stated during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy that Timur Mindich crossed the state border of Ukraine extremely quickly, possibly with the assistance of officials.

According to him, Mindich went through border control with a regular passport, while Kryvonos himself noted that the procedure usually takes significantly more time.
“We found the slip that allowed Mindich to pass, and it had the letter ‘K’ — control is in place. We are documenting who at the control put this person through so he could leave quickly,” Kryvonos explained.
He added that a possible leak of information during the investigation may have alerted Mindich to the upcoming searches. On November 10, NABU conducted over 70 searches, for which more than 140 witnesses were gathered the day before, which could have signaled other law enforcement agencies about the large-scale investigative actions.
