🛑 The three-day ceasefire announced by putin is insufficient and does not align with the concept of real peace. This was stated by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

🤝 Meloni emphasized that Italy supports diplomatic efforts and welcomes peace initiatives, particularly President Volodymyr Zelensky’s readiness for an unconditional ceasefire, which demonstrates a sincere desire for peace.
📆 At the same time, she noted that putin’s announced ceasefire until May 9 is another and clearly insufficient step: “We need peace that is just and lasting.”
🛡️ Meloni stressed that real peace must be based on clear security guarantees. Italy has long proposed the creation of an international security system similar to Article 5 of the Washington Treaty, even beyond the current NATO framework.
